Marx, Daniele
When A Crow Crossed
“What happens in
the moment, when you travel every day from one place to
another? It was at this moment that a crow crossed for the
first time, and from there, these black birds did not go
unnoticed. Crows are a group of birds found in most parts of
the world, with the exception of southern South America. The
crow also presents a wide scientific and mythological
bibliography that makes it accessible and paradoxical. This
self publication ‘When a Crow Crossed’ presents short texts of
reference to concrete poetry and a series of b/w photographs”,

Mascini, Vibeke
Cloud Inverse
a book published as the result of an attempt to
reach the summit of Mont Blanc, with many diary-like notes and
illustrations that document the trek and the artist’s musings,
“Along my journey I stumbled upon many people, and a few
animals, who have reached for mountaintops throughout the
centuries. I noticed that by moving up the mountain I was able
to move along with all of them, almost finding the footprints
of de Saussure ascending in the fresh snow, the traces of the
astronomical observatory swallowed by the mountain’s snowy
dome and even hearing the echo of the propellers of that pilot
who first descended on the summit of Mont Blanc.
Cloud Inverse describes my expedition of
17 days in which I travelled through a diverse landscape, both
geographical and imagined, before finally arriving at an
obscure mountain top”, with several fold-out pages, soft cover
in dust jacket, 24 x 16,5 cm, 94 pages, Amsterdam 2017

Seeds
“Have you ever wondered about the energy stored in dried-up seeds? What’s inside that makes it possible for life to spring out with just a wee bit of watering? Scraps
“scraps contains
facsimiles of notes collected over the last decade and stored
in a leaf-covered box. These seemingly random jottings on odds
and ends of paper belie an interest in various forms of word
play (anagrams, word squares, puns, malapropisms, portmanteau)
as well as found and overheard texts.
The notes in scraps are rendered typographically on the verso
of the photographs — a back-to-back duel between photographer
and typographer. Both sides are re-presented by digital media,
(from camera and scanner to press) while the hand-written and
the type-set stand their ground as hybrid word/images”, a

Walking Archives: The Soy
Children
“Who are the children of
genetically modified soy production? What disowned bastards
are produced by the hybridization of agri-business, biotech,
capital, and culture?
To answer these questions
the Archivo Caminante (Walking
Archive) embarks on a trip through the opaque and strange
world of genetically modified soya plants in Argentina in
search of its inhabitants, forms and structures, languages and
narratives: the forces that swirl around the soya rhizome. In
the style of Gulliver’s
Travels it makes visible some of the routes in the soya
chain giving shape to a new international division of labor
food policy in global semiocapitalism”, an interview with Eduardo Molinari

Exhibit Model One Kunsthaus Baselland
“For Baselland I’ve worked with the idea of a
model of an exhibition, a model that does not really include
specific works. The idea was an exhibition made up of images
of some of my previous exhibition[s] – a 2D installation of
installations”, published on the occasion of that exhibition
at Kunsthaus Baselland, b/w photographs documenting it are
followed by a conversation between J.M and Ines Goldbach who
is also the editor, designed by Matti Isan Blind,
translated by Bleike

Grandes Exitos 2
“This is the second edition of Grandes Exitos del
Arte Contemporáneo (GEAC), previously a pirate DVD compilation
of video art and performances distributed free of charge or in
exchange for everyday objects, garments or fruits even.
Created as part of the 2011 relational art piece ‘Sin Valor,
collaboration between Pablo Lagos Lopez and myself that took
place in the streets of Fontibon, Colombia. … In the spirit of
the first GEAC (the free distribution and access to art), this
volume takes into account the corresponding concept of
Fandangos, also follows the process and mirrors Raul
Marroquin’s editorial approach of ‘copy and paste’. ‘Why
Plagiarism?’ by Ulises Carrion is one of the best examples of
this procedure. The works in this issue of GEAC are from a mix
of young and known/established artists”, stapled zine inspired
by Fandangos magazine published by Raul Marroquin in
the seventies, stapled, 21,5 x 15 cm, 32 pages, Antwerp 2018

Skins (I'll Have a Double
High Society on the Rocks)
“Spanning an idea over the course of a year, Mull starts with the work he did for the UCLA Hammer Museum’s first Venice Beach Biennial and tracks his interests through his discovery of a group of fashionable youth native to Los Angeles, where Mull is based. Starting from a stylistic affinity, Mull uses photography to make plastic connections between the kind of cultural bricollage of popular material evidenced in these digital flaneurs and a group of drawings he made over the course of the past two years”, art and fashion interact in this gathering of collected material, photographs, and art works, soft cover, 54 pages, 20,5 x 13 cm, ed/500, 2013
